Come enjoy these beautiful sites and learn about conservation and biodiversity!
April 21st will be a day full of educational activities for school age children, of approximately elementary school age. We’ll learn about what conservation is and what we can all do to help out the environment! Stations will include sites along the trail that bisects the Third Battle of Winchester battlefield as well as a station in the local creek, Red Bud Run!
Stations will cover a range of subjects such as:
- conservation biology
- terrestrial and freshwater conservation practices
- why should conservation biology and biodiversity matter to you?
- local flora and fauna that need our help
